THE TRUTH ABOUT DAN CRENSHAW
DEFENDING OUR 2ND AMENDMENT
TOPLINE: Rep. Crenshaw has an A+ rating with the NRA and the strongest record of pro-2nd Amendment legislation introduced in the House of Representatives. He has never endorsed or voted to pass any red flag laws, and that will never change.
Congressman Crenshaw has never voted for red flag laws or supported them in any way.
After the El Paso mass shooting in 2019, there was growing demand among some prominent politicians for a national red flag law. Rep. Crenshaw knew that a national red flag law would be unconstitutional, but at that time Nancy Pelosi was the Speaker of the House, so there was a very real chance the democrats could ram legislation through. He attempted to change the conversation by suggesting a look into the feasibility of red flag laws at the STATE-LEVEL ONLY.
Rep. Crenshaw studied the options and quickly determined there was no chance red flag laws could work at the state-level without violating Americans’ 2nd Amendment rights.
There was understandable backlash – and Rep. Crenshaw held a town hall in his district in 2019 and assured his constituents that he would NEVER support a red flag law.
Rep. Crenshaw introduced the Preventing Unjust Red Flag Laws Act – which prevents any federal funding from going towards the implementation of state red flag laws.
Dan knows that unelected bureaucrats, like those at the ATF, are often responsible for attacks on law abiding gun owners. That’s why Dan introduced the ATF Accountability Act in response to the agency’s attempt to ban pistol braces, which are used by many disabled veterans to provide more stability when using a firearm. Dan’s legislation would ensure that firearm dealers and manufacturers are able to appeal any ruling from the ATF, a capability that does not exist under current law.
Dan understands that defending our Second Amendment rights also means talking to audiences who don’t normally hear our arguments on this issue. That’s why Dan doesn’t hesitate to go onto more liberal media outlets like CNN to stand up for the rights of Americans to keep and bear arms.
Rep. Crenshaw has an A+ rating with the NRA and the strongest record of pro-2nd Amendment legislation introduced in the House of Representatives. He has never endorsed or voted to pass any red flag laws, and that will never change.
EDDIE GALLAGHER
TOPLINE: Rep. Crenshaw and his staff did everything in their power to support Eddie Gallagher during his imprisonment. Multiple congressmen, including Rep. Jim Jordan, agreed with Rep. Crenshaw’s approach and signed Rep. Crenshaw’s letter calling for Eddie’s rights of due process to be restored.
Rep. Crenshaw and his staff met with Eddie Gallagher's brother multiple times to develop a realistic pathway to achieving the due process which Eddie deserved.
The reason Rep. Crenshaw went with a different letter (a letter which was also signed by Reps. Jim Jordan, Jim Banks, and others) was because he actually bothered to do the research and talk with lawyers about an effort that would actually WORK. He was interested in improving Gallagher's situation, not just sending a letter that had no chance of helping him at all. He was trying to help Gallagher, not just give the appearance of helping him. A letter demanding he just be released would not have a realistic outcome. NOTE: Gallagher’s own family acknowledged that the letter which Rep. Crenshaw did not sign was purely a messaging letter and wouldn’t actually have any effect.
If Gallagher wanted to talk to him, he could have. He never tried to contact Rep. Crenshaw after his release and never approached him at any event.
WEF/KLAUS SCHWAB AFFILIATION
TOPLINE: Rep. Crenshaw was NEVER a member of the WEF. He was added by them to an annual list of influential people -- sort of like a Time's 100 -- back in 2019. He never agreed to it and in fact we declined the invitation to participate in their young leaders program. They added him anyway. He asked to be removed from the list.
Rep. Crenshaw has never met Klaus Schwab or anyone from that organization. He has never attended their meetings in Davos.
Moreover, Dan has been the tip of the spear in Congress in pushing back against literally every policy the WEF supports. Every single policy initiative outlined in the WEF’s “Great Reset” - “green energy” subsidies. DEI, and ESG - is exactly what Dan has fought against since being elected to Congress.
SUPPORTING PRESIDENT TRUMP
TOPLINE: Contrary to what online grifters claim, Rep. Crenshaw’s support for President Trump has never wavered. He has been one of President Trump’s strongest defenders over the years – supporting his priorities in Congress and frequently appearing on liberal media channels like CNN and MSNBC to defend the President’s record.
Rep. Crenshaw had a meeting at Mar a Lago with President Trump in January 2025, where they talked about the need to destroy the Mexican drug cartels.
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in President Trump’s first term, Democrats, the mainstream media, and a lot of Republicans were criticizing President Trump’s response to the pandemic. Dan did not waver in his defense of President Trump. In fact the video Crenshaw released debunking the left’s lies was released by the Trump Administration and promoted by the President himself as a model for how Republicans should defend him: https://x.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1252046878314770432
After the 2020 election, Rep. Crenshaw signed onto the amicus brief for the Texas lawsuit challenging the sweeping changes to election law in Pennsylvania which could have affected the election’s outcome: https://www.facebook.com/CrenshawforCongress/posts/my-reasoning-for-signing-on-to-the-amicus-brief-for-the-texas-lawsuit-and-what-o/1338891463170264/
In April 2023, President Trump endorsed Rep. Crenshaw’s bill to authorize the use of military force against the Mexican drug cartels.
Pay no attention to the grifters online who lie about Rep. Crenshaw and his record. They create this fake outrage for clickbait because that’s how they make their living.
INSIDER TRADING ACCUSATIONS
TOPLINE: Rep. Crenshaw’s investment in the stock market and total dollar amount of profits was around $20,000, so to act like he is trading on the same level of magnitude as Nancy Pelosi is a gross misrepresentation. This is not “insider trading” by any definition.
All of Rep. Crenshaw’s trades and investments are disclosed on the House Financial Disclosures website.
Rep. Crenshaw hasn’t made a stock trade since 2023. It’s hard to insider trade when you don’t do any trading.
Rep. Crenshaw owns the typical blue chip stocks that most Americans own. He has no special insights that would give him an advantage over other Americans.
Rep. Crenshaw publicly stated he would support a ban on members trading stocks if it came up for a vote in Congress.
Rep. Crenshaw has debunked this entire narrative in depth, multiple times, including in a recent letter to his constituents: READ THE LETTER HERE
TUCKER CARLSON
TOPLINE: Rep. Crenshaw never threatened to kill Tucker Carlson. There is a big difference between threatening to kill someone and a hot mic moment with a reporter where you offhandedly say, “I’d kill that guy if I ever saw him.” Almost everyone has said something to that effect at some point in their lives – and we all know it’s not meant to be taken literally.
The truth is that Tucker Carlson has spent the past three years attacking Rep. Crenshaw on a monthly basis, including mocking his war injury. He is the one who coined the phrase “Eyepatch McCain” in 2022.
Tucker never offers any policy disagreement with the congressman. He just attacks Rep. Crenshaw’s character – calling him “vile”, “disgusting”, “a bad person”.
Rep. Crenshaw has no idea what instigated these attacks. He’s never met Tucker, and prior to Tucker’s recent attacks, he never spoke publicly about him.
